THE PROJECT is a faith-based initiative that seeks to embark upon a genuine and honest engagement with some of the issues facing our society and culture. It attempts to be an alternative voice against mainstream thought, challenging commonsense notions and taken-for-granted worldviews.
The mission and directive of THE PROJECT is to provoke, agitate, stir, incite and engage. But most importantly, THE PROJECT seeks to inspire change. It is an attempt at organic Christianity, a faith stripped of the culturally-bound influences that so easily entangle us.
It is an experiment in thinking differently, daring to produce followers of Christ who believe that caring for the environment is a significant moral issue and a clear biblical mandate; that justice is more than just charity; that being innovative and creative is worth its risk; and that being fit and healthy glorifies God.
The examination of these issues demands careful reflection and constructive dialogue - the purpose of this site is to give impetus to that dialogue.
THE PROJECT is a lot of things. It is a conversation, a resource, a creation, and an experiment. Through your interaction with this site and its thought, we invite you to join us in paving the way for a new kind of faith and praxis in contemporary Christianity.
